Vacation?

Just a little bit ago my parents left after spending a couple of weeks with us.

We got to see a lot of Germany together.... here are some photos

Started with Veitshochheim Palace, this was the 'hunting lodge' for the Prince Bishop.. but was 'recently' furnished by for the Grand Duke Ferdinand of Tuscany in 1910.

Then we saw the Wurzberg Residenz, which was the home for Prince- Bishop Johann Philipp Franz Von Schonborn. This took 60 years to complete. (this is the view from the gardens)

We went swiming here in Schweinfurt, it was Sophias first time in a pool :)

And then we spent a couple of days in Schwangau, Germany where we saw Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau.

Neuschwanstein  and me :) (finally got to see it and it has scaffolding on most of it!)
This was built by King Ludwig II he decided to build it out of an existing ruin, it imitates a 13th century Romanesque style but was built in the 19th century.

Hohenschwangau was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II  which was built by his father Maximilian II of Bavaria.

A lot of it was spent riding in the car... good thing that sophia liked her car seat...

 Looks like Merm did too...

Our last trip was to Cologne, Germany to see the Cathedral there... Adam, Merm, Sophia and I are right in front of the middle doors and you can hardly see us! (that place is huge and supposedly it holds the remains of the three wise men.

It was a lot of fun having Merm and Pop here, and it was hard to say goodbye... I'm glad they got a chance to see Europe and to meet Sophia.
